TITAMED® Bollard Miniplate Screws
THE SYSTEM. Two differtent types of screws are made to fit with the Bollard Miniplate designed by Prof. Dr. Hugo De Clerck (click here for website): Selfdrilling screws (DSSA05 and DSSA07) and Selftapping screws (AI05 and AI07). All bone screws are made of titanium grade V.
THE SELFDRILLING SCREWS.The selfdrilling screws (DSSA05 and DSSA07) have a round head with lock-drive insert. For this type of screws you need the screwdriver IT.0315.
THE SELFTAPPING SCREWS.The self-tapping screw (AI05 and AI07) is made in accordance with the highest quality standards. The self-tapping screws are unique in many aspects. Compared to other systems the screws have a number of obvious advantages.
An overview of the unique features:
- The screw has an excellent grip on the bone, even in cases where the bone is thinner than 0.5mm.
- The sloping thread prevents stripping through the bone. An emergency screw is therefore unnecessary.
- Additionally, the accurate ten-point crenation of the screw head enables the screw’s flawless and instant transfer from the inox container to the wrench screwdriver (IT.0142) into the bone. Also the screwdriver IT.0315 can be used to pick up the screws.
